Roast Troll with Lillie Shoots

Italian Comedians,

Jean Antoine Watteau,

National Gallery of Art, Washington, D.C.

Today, all day from nine to nine, I am the humble entree for Author's Week at Book Roast, the interactive book promotion blog set up by Chris Eldin and her sous chefs (who include, of course, a saucier, a grillardin, a poissonier, and a rotisseur.)

Stone Child , a Lillie St. Claire adventure with trolls, is the kebab on the skewer of Weirdly: A Collection of Strange Stories.

Come, visit, comment. Baste and pepper me!

Come and fillet away my mignons and mignonnes!

A print copy of Weirdly is today's prize.
EDIT: Contest open now!

Bernita! I have to look up enough of your English words. You're going to send me hunting French ones as well?!

You're posted for being roasted.

It's very rare of me to wish to dash away from here, but hey — whoooosh!

"whoooosh!"
Whirl, are you fanning the fire?

I'm headed over in a few moments.

I was sorry to hear about your injury and hope you're on the mend.

I'll definitely check out the roast -- lucky Book Roast to have such a delicacy to start :)

Roast troll, hm. Wonder if it's not getting a bit sinewy. I think I'll feed the trolls to the boars and eat a nice venison stew. :)

Lovely, Charles!

Thank you, Lisa. It mends.
The luck is mine, (delicate flower that I am.)

Perhaps dishes later in the week will suit you, Gabriele.

Lol, that was in reply to your post here; I didn't click the link. I seldom do these days because I have to cut down on my ever increasing internet time, and links mean new things to keep returning to.

anyone better to dance with? ;) lol

Well, it's not a tender story, Gabriele, but I don't think you should call it stringy.

Laughingwolf, I've danced with a lot of wolves.

I never meant the story, I meant the troll.

*gives up trying to be funny*

I hope it went well. I've been busy painting cupboard doors and wood bondoing and sanding my wainscoting.

Glad the foot is improving, too.

Seems I fell flat too, Gabriele!

Written, it was a total blast! Funny/sweet/clever roasting. I'm done to a turn.

methinks you were a rare medium, well done, to coin a phrase ;) lol

Everyone was so nice, Laughingwolf.

And that porcupine was taken to a Conservation area and set free, btw.

no doubt, my friend, but NEVER wiff da wuff! ;) lol
