See the Silver Wings On High

Rejoice with me!
No, not that.
Something infinitely more important.
A child returns safely from Rawalpindi, the Potwar Plateau and the earthquake zone this day.
The third and final homebound flight of DART (Disaster Assistance Response Team) arrives this afternoon.
Home. Safe.

Another public service announcement.

Thank you, Savannah.
~anxiously checking CFB Trenton forecasts~
We've got snow and blowing snow here, but it's supposed to cease before ETA.

Anyone with DSL should download Google Earth right away. You can virtually fly in close to the disaster areas and see things in 3-D. It is quite sobering.

I should probably add that unless you're carefully supervised or disciplined beyond belief, Google Earth will wreck your schedule.

Bernita, big hugs to you. Are you cooking or baking anything special for the homecoming? I know I would fill the house, if only to give me something to do while I waited!

Can become obsessive, I've no doubt, Archer. My imagination usually produces quite enough video though.

Thank you, Robyn. No, I let her husband do that. I'll just obsessively check the weather.
You're right though, physical activity usually helps. I tend to clean, not trusting myself to mix ingredients.

Wonderful news Bernita! We'll all breathe a sigh of relief when she's through the front door.

Fabulous! I pray that the snow stops and the plane arrives safely!

I read Joe's blog all the time. He offers very good advice!

And please, stick to cleaning, no cooking!

Ahhhh, weather conditions at airport indicate; snow stopped, wind 20 km, visibility 19 km, ceiling unlimited, no weather delay...
Thank you both so much.
I apologize for posting something so strictly personal, but sometimes the "what ifs" crowd at the last minute.

Hey, it's always good to get added prayer! Be personal any time you want to be
